Mayor's Youth Task Force Battle of the Bands

Have you ever wanted to showcase your talent to hundreds of youth and major
contracting managers?

forget the chance to win cool cash and prizes...
For those of you who didn’t make it out to last year’s event, let’s fill you in on some details. A professionally set up stage and sound equipment provided by Long and Mcquade, a huge iceless hockey arena as the venue, great prizes to places all over Markham, oh and not to mention a crowd over 700 people, can it get any better?

Description
The event will feature 12-16 bands facing off to become all of Markham’s top band. A massive prize will be awarded to the winner. All types of bands and solo acts are accepted, however the one requirement is that you make sweet , beautiful music that doesn’t suck.
Process - How do I Apply?
It’s simple, just click the big apply now link below and fill out your application form. You can either sign up for an audition time on March 25th or 28th, or you can send us your video or audio recording. If the Mayor’s Youth Task Force like what they see and hear then you’ll have a spot in our show. Anybody can audition as long as they are still in High school, but remember to sign up asap because the auditions times work on a first come, first serve basis.
If you’d like to submit your audition online, then please send us your video or audio clip on youtube. You can do this by going to http://www.youtube.com/botbmarkham Once you have found this channel, please click on groups and select Markham Battle of the Bands 2008, and submit your video to this group. Please remember, even if you do this, please fill out our application form on the apply now link below.
If you don’t trust the world wide web to send us your recording, or you just don’t want to come and meet us in person you can drop your recording off at the Markham Civic Centre at the front desk, and tell the lovely secretary there it’s for Jason Tsien, Youth Coordinator for the Town of Markham.
